Executive Framework for Green Circular Technology Integrated Development Demonstration Project
Abstract
China announced in September 2023 its support for the Fujian Demonstration Zone for Integrated Development Across the Taiwan Strait. The Outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan stipulated that green transformation was to be accelerated throughout the economy and society to make a substantive contribution to global neutrality. To support the green circular economy strategy, Fujian Province invited experts in related green circular economy fields at the end of 2024 to study execution indicators for a green circular economy demonstration project development strategy. The professional backgrounds of task group members included industry, government, university, and research experts in green circular-related fields from both sides of the Strait. Through the convening of green circular- seminars and forums, technical exchanges within the green circular- industry, as well as open-ended expert interviews and task breakdowns, the execution plan for the Green Circular Demonstration Project was formulated in 2025 by defining the seven main execution aspects as well as the 40 execution indicators. This assessment framework will not only promote a development strategy for cross-strait integration of green circular, but also satisfies the practical requirements for sustainable development.
