Research on Innovative Practice of Promoting University Ideological and Political Education by Integrating Art Disciplines——Taking National Security Education Through Dramatic and Film Language as an Example
Abstract
To implement policy documents such as the Guidelines for the Ideological and Political Construction of Courses in Institutions of Higher Education and the Guidelines for National Security Education at All Levels of Schools, and address prominent drawbacks of university national security education including indoctrination-oriented teaching, monotonous forms and insufficient interdisciplinary collaboration, this research takes Project MS2024014 sponsored by Beijing Municipal Society of Higher Education as its practical carrier and constructs an interdisciplinary project-based teaching model integrating ideological and political education with art. Integrating faculty from art, campus security, biochemistry, smart city and management disciplines, the research adopts drama, film, television and AI multimedia as core carriers and produces seven original national security-themed artistic works including War and Guard, The Shield and Stay Vigilant on Food Safety. Closed-loop project-based teaching is delivered through five core courses, namely Film Narrative Art, Play Rehearsal, Analysis of Film and Television Music, Digital Sound Processing and Exhibition Image Design. Practice proves that project-driven teaching links theoretical research, case investigation, artistic creation, classroom instruction and campus performance, implicitly embedding the Overall National Security Concept into aesthetic education and simultaneously improving college students’ national security awareness and artistic practical capabilities. This paper systematically sorts out the policy basis, seven-step closed-loop implementation process of project-based teaching, educational effects and optimization paths, so as to provide replicable practical models for comprehensive universities to carry out national security education and advance curriculum-based ideological and political education relying on drama and film disciplines.
