As outstanding representatives of the youth group, normalizing and institutionalizing ideal and belief education for college student Party members helps enhance their Party spirit, strengthen their sense of social responsibility and historical mission, promote their all-round development, and drive innovation in Party building in higher education institutions, which holds profound significance. However, the ideal and belief education for college student Party members currently faces numerous challenges, with significant gaps in content, methods, mechanisms, and environment. Targeted measures are needed to address these issues. In terms of content, education should be closely integrated with the thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for the new era, enhancing its relevance and effectiveness. Educational content should be innovated to make it more practical, life-oriented, and student-centered.
