Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

Author Guidelines

Author Guidelines

1. Submissions must present original work that has not been published or submitted elsewhere.
2. The title should be concise and precise. The abstract should state the objective, methods, principal results, and conclusion. Provide 3–8 keywords.
3. Describe the background, methods, results, and discussion clearly. Human or animal studies must include ethics approval and informed-consent information where applicable.
4. Disclose conflicts of interest, funding, and author contributions, and ensure that data, figures, and references are accurate and complete.
5. Number references in the order cited and use a consistent scholarly style. Every reference must correspond to an in-text citation.
6. Submit an editable Word file through the online system and upload figures, supplementary files, and required declarations as instructed.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

1. The manuscript is original, has not been published, and is not under consideration elsewhere.
2. The submission is provided as an editable Word or compatible file.
3. All references have been checked and DOI or URL links are supplied where applicable.
4. The manuscript includes a title, abstract, keywords, main text, figures or tables, references, and required ethics and conflict-of-interest statements.
5. The manuscript follows the author guidelines and all figures and supplementary files are cited correctly.
6. For double-blind review, identifying author information has been removed from the manuscript file.
